In February 2009 I'm scoring the feature film A Lonely Place For Dying, an espionage/action/thriller set in the Mexican desert during the Vietnam War with Academy Award Nominee James Cromwell (W, L.A. Confidential, "My Own Worst Enemy") and Michael Wincott (What Just Happened?, Alien: Resurrection, The Crow).

At the request of the director and writer, I wrote a song for the film with a nod to the 70's (read = my first non-electronic rock track). I believe his suggestion was something like, "It should be pretty dark, but also sound like it could have been recorded in the 70's, so imagine that Nine Inch Nails and Jimi Hendrix had a band in 1972...." I happily admit to being a big fan of Mr. Hendrix and Mr. Reznor's work, the latter being the greater influence on me musically, so I had a great time coming up with both the "vintage" theatrical version as well as the more modern electro/goth/industrial remix.

So, here it is, "A Lonely Place For Dying," with remixes by myself, Daniel Lenz (Hednoize, Psykosonik, Alice Cooper, Xzibit) and Bern Locker (Urban Voodoo, Godhead).

You can grab both digital downloads as well a physical CDs via the link of your choice next to the album art above.

Enjoy,

F.
